The Verdon takes its source at 2819 meters above sea level, in the pure and fresh waters of the tête de la Sestriere, along the Col d'Allos and Pic des Trois-Évêchés. He then travels 165 km to reach the Durance. In its journey, the river has sculpted, eroded and hollowed out the white Jurassic limestones for millions of years. It is one of the highest canyons in Europe with cliffs reaching 250 to 700m! And at the bottom, a fast river with emerald reflections of rare intensity! Green or turquoise blue, it is difficult to agree on the color of this crystal clear water! It reflects the intense blue of the sky.
