The Sentier Blanc-Martel is an emblematic hike in the heart of the Gorges du Verdon, between the Chalet de la Maline (La Palud-sur-Verdon) and the Point Sublime (Rougon) through grandiose landscapes and breathtaking viewpoints.

The essentials of the Blanc-Martel trail
Length and duration: The trail is a one-way trip that is approximately 15 kilometers long. The hike generally takes between 5 and 7 hours, depending on the pace of the walkers and stops to admire the scenery.
Difficulty level: This is a moderate to difficult hike, mainly due to the length of the route and some steep sections. There are several staircases and narrow passages.
Audiences: Trail not recommended for young children. Forbidden to dogs and mountain bikes. The trail should be avoided by people prone to vertigo.
Departure and arrival: The trail can be walked in both directions, but it is often recommended to start at Chalet de la Maline and end at Point Sublime. This allows you to enjoy the descent at the beginning and the gradual ascent towards the end. The Blanc-Martel trail shuttle is designed to travel along the trail in the direction of Chalet de la Maline towards Point Sublime.
Landscapes and points of interest: The hike offers breathtaking views of the Gorges, at the foot of the most dizzying cliffs of the canyon with numerous shaded passages through soothing forests. Among the points of interest, we find the “Samson Corridor”, the “Pas de l'Issane”, and the famous “Brèche Imbert”.
The shuttle service
The shuttle service offered by the Verdon regional natural park allows you to access the trail from the village of La Palud-sur-Verdon by leaving your vehicle in the dedicated parking lots.

The shuttle runs from Easter to All Saints' Day.
